- demo Windows UNGOL by Nuance [web]
- First:
Demo is nice, but short, like the way that the boxes travel through the grass and that the "ribbons" spawn on the beat/bass. Nice music.
Verdict: A small thumb up :)
Second:
I don't get the fuzz here - NVidia handed out demoboxes - GREAT!
Nvidia hopes to get a good list of full releases at NVscene, however I can't see how they would expect ALL groups to deliver a demo/intro for NVscene? That would mean a demo compo with like... 50 major entries... that would be quite silly.
Let's simply enjoy that the demo boxes are actually beeing used for making (drumroll) demos! Because that's what the demoboxes are meant for - I for sure didn't sign any agreement promising a release for NVscene (That I feel obligated to do a release is another matter ;) )
Third: who will actually start a thread about this, instead of polluting the production comments? :) - rulezadded on the 2008-08-18 21:05:27
- musicdisk Windows BitJam RMX 001 by BitFellas [web]
- Nice disk - havn't heard all the tunes, yet, but as daXX stated abouve a ffwd/rwd feature (or a timebar) would be much appreciated!
When it comes to mastering.... well, sure I no mastering expert myself, but since this is remix competetion, I guess people made their tracks as they wanted them to be, and as good as they could regarding mastering - this is not a profesional album :) - and regarding mastering I can only say "what xerxes said" :)
Ah.. and then it crashed while writing this (windowed mode) and my dualmode monitor setup (2 x 1680x1050) also makes the fullscreen version display wrong (the content is displayed too much to the right)
Writing too much - this is a nice disk! :D - rulezadded on the 2008-08-10 21:08:41
- demo Windows MacOSX PPC MacOSX Intel 080808 of the death by kosmoplovci [web] & Minimalartifact [web]
- ps: sometimes I do - as I wrote the start of the demo was ok, but then I was totally ruined - I´m not a noise-lover, but I think I appreciate a wellmade noise demo - and this didn´t really convince me - "sorry" :)

- Why the fuck you chose NOT to use antialiasin, but to use excessive blur, and damn ugly lines moving through the otherwise ok'ish object is beyond me.
This does not appeal to me - especially not after the object was removed in the latter half of the demo. - sucksadded on the 2008-08-10 14:12:06
- demo Windows Above by lkcc [web] & Bauknecht [web]
- Bah, why didn't I thumb this up yet... Very nice visuals, and mood/setting in general.
And a fucking epic track by Gloom! - Love it! - rulezadded on the 2008-08-09 11:59:25
- 4k Windows Larvae by Unknown Artists [web]
- I thought that this would rank 3rd - not groundbreaking, but nice visuals and nice sound. Also a proper "ending" ;)

- 64k Windows Incognito by Traction [web]
- for the lazy people: ftp://ftp.untergrund.net/users/traction/mixer_incognito.mp3
I really liked this intro, and it was my personal #2 in this compo - only complaint is that I think that the fluid/milk scene didn't fit the rest of the intro.
Otherwise, nice traction look, witout being too simple. - rulezadded on the 2008-08-05 09:39:03

- 4k Windows Deep Science by Fairlight [web]
- Of course this should at have had second place.
I was split between "my own 4k" and this one very much after watching the ASM stream, and I didn't calculate that the PP+TBC one would win with such a large margin.
Props for doing something visually different (postprocessing) in 4k, and also nice sound, but a bit dull as music. - rulezadded on the 2008-08-04 14:20:48
