• booleans: medium uses alpha test to slice objects (because it's for dx7 level hw). whether you compute the function in the shader or store it in a texture and then use alpha test is pretty immaterial. also, the "mesh floodfill" seen in a bunch of fairlight demos starting from track one works the same way, with a differently computed mask value.

  all i can say about this is that it has neat music and visuals that both completely fail to make any impression on me whatsoever.

• vscd, easier said than done, zolo only had a set of partial recordings to work with (unlike last year, we didn't have 6 guys with cameras running around, and no good way of recording the master video signal either). and due to a recording fuckup the first 5 minutes of the audio track were useless and had to be reconstructed from the ambient and camera mics.
  
  trust me, zolo did a great job here considering the state of the source material. :)
