- 1k Windows keep_working_hard by 0rel
- ...it is meant to be executed while you doing something else - probably working hard :). it's something like a desktop perception filter, not a run'n'enjoy intro.
vista probabably doesn't allow to draw directly into the desktop device context. otherwise it shouldn't be critical, it uses only simple gdi functions... - rulezadded on the 2008-04-08 22:37:17
- demo Windows Fern by lkcc [web] & Bauknecht [web]
- very cool! one building, one effect: that's a interesting concept... the transitions between the effects/scenes are given through the location. every transition is just a movement in one global space, every element of the building could be animated and processed literally on the fly, especially if the whole geometry would have been procedurally generated... 3d sound would be possible as well, attached sound sources to moving objects or rooms... this is more than just a flyby!
yea, and i like the simple visual style! the scene isn't perfectly polished, it's just right. looks like a huge city or a micro machine under construction... - rulezadded on the 2008-04-06 17:58:07

- demo Windows fr-055: 828 by Farbrausch [web]
- ps: have an look at 'Tod Dockstader - Aerial', very similar scapes, rather soundtrackish

- demo Windows fr-055: 828 by Farbrausch [web]
- perhaps my favourite "farbrausch" demo! i can feel deeper thoughts here... after watching it several times now, it is still interesting! all elements are connected to each other and make up a subconscious space of possible meanings (science mother, the planet, technology, hypertext sphere...).
it really uses the strengths of the main elements of demos in general to compose a dense composition, it is strong as a demo, not as movie, so to say. the direction is good, the chronology makes sense! and the soundscape feels tightly coupled to the main theme, amplifying it subtly. - rulezadded on the 2008-04-03 14:17:46
- demo Windows theBeauty by Einklang.net [web] & Extrawelt [web]
- felt really out of space for a moment during the canyon scene... the music is very special! highly synthetic atmosphere... and i liked the sync with the game events and the sound of the turbines.
this demo feels right "up-to-date" for me, although it woldn't go nowhere without the music... and the flower mh, it's too much ribbon glamour for me... rosa nature2.0? the blob aliens: a joke or just nonsense sync trip creature?
is this lost future candy? - rulezadded on the 2008-04-03 00:54:08

- demo Windows Glitch by Kewlers [web]
- very good!
code never behaves as smooth as ribbons or high poly spheres pretend to be. the process is completely quantisized, the computer is non-continuous in its heart and runs at humanly not perceivable high frequencies.
this demo opens up this space for our limited sensual range!
...interesting direction... - rulezadded on the 2008-03-31 20:43:00
- 64k Windows blusher by bypass [web] & Black Maiden [web]
- one of the intros i have to watch from time to time... emits a very special mood between dark loneliness (shadows, cold geometry) and lovely codeworld feel (objects, movement). and yeah, the music is great, and goes perfectly with the graphics!
