- diskmag MS-Dos Hugi #09 - The Next Generation by Hugi [web]
- Indeed. How nice. Only sound playback does not work well with DOSbox, but maybe that can be fixed by changing some options in dosbox.conf. Sound quality already became a bit better after raising the sampling rate.
And about the mag itself - a good issue. I especially like my own articles and the diskmag reviews. :-) The only thing that irritates me is the way I nagged at my co-editor in several articles - wow, I wouldn't have tolerated if the same had been done to me... But I've improved my social skills meanwhile (hehe). - rulezadded on the 2006-08-13 22:32:57

- Whoever added the screenshot, please contact me. I wonder how you managed to successfully start this mag. It doesn't work on my own PCs.

Optimus: Sorry for that! Short before the release of the Hugi issue so many articles were left unproofread that I sent them to voluntary proofreaders (whom I didn't know well). Mostly they seem to have done good work, but such "overproofreading" may happen. - isokadded on the 2006-08-05 08:51:37

- ps: The 16 Mb are mostly due to gfx. You may have noticed we're using 1024x768 and many illustrations inside the articles are actually full-screen images which are only displayed downscaled inside the articles (that's why you can enlarge them by clicking). This occupies far more space than 640x480 full-screen pics and max. 300x351 illustrations inside the articles as we had it in the past.

- "One thing I seriously don't get is why you attribute this release to Assembly 2006"
I won't tell you why now. Just wait a couple of days. - isokadded on the 2006-08-01 16:31:25

- Too bad I have a four-figure IQ and therefore am not interested in using this tool.

- The biggest difference between this issue and "the older hugis several years ago" is that the old issues contained even more articles. And there's a reason why: I wrote much more articles myself in those days. After all I had a lot of time and no better idea what to do... Maybe I should try to write an article per day myself again.
I just wonder how you liked/disliked my reviews? Nobody has commented on them yet. I've never written reviews of music disks and demos before. This has been a premiere in this issue. - isokadded on the 2006-08-01 15:05:45

- The first time I watched this, I didn't check the credits before running the demo, and thought that this was a Kewlers release due to the fonts and some of the models which reminded me of Variform. =)
