- demo Windows Open Your Eyes by Critical Mass
- raver, you're totally beside the point. when you bought a car, it's perfectly acceptable to lend it to your friends. the same thing goes for music, and no one will stop you from doing it, as long as you don't keep a copy for yourself. in germany, you may make backups of software or cds you bought, and you may give it to your relatives and close friends in any case, but giving it to someone else when you still have a copy is a violation of copyright law and rightly so, IMHO.

- 64k Windows fr-022: ein.schlag by Farbrausch [web]
- if you mean "same code" as in "same code as in fr-08 and fr-019", no, all three productions use completely different systems (you can compare the disassemblies if you want :)

- demo Windows Metropol by the|neonray [web] & Throb [web]
- Given the compatibility problems mentioned, I'm pretty surprised that it worked here without a problem even though I use an ATI card :)
On the demo itself: This-is-great-stuff. The graphics are not overly interesting, but kudos for actually asking instead of just ripping the music :), and the work on the design/synchronization is absolutely great. There's always something happening on the screen, always some details moving (just like in so abstract world), and I really appreciate how everything works together in this demo to create a great experience. I want more of that! - rulezadded on the 2002-09-18 17:07:08
- demo Windows Open Your Eyes by Critical Mass
- I'll not comment on the ripping music stuff or include it in my rating anymore; I think it's been said often enough by now :)
So let's look at what's left: The graphics are rather nice and the code is solid, but the problem I have with this production is that it simply doesn't work as a demo (for me).
I appreciate the work, but what I see when I just watch the demo without concentrating on individual aspects is nothing special, so, pigface. - isokadded on the 2002-09-18 17:01:09

- 64k musicdisk Windows fr-028: brullwurfel by Farbrausch [web]
- download accelerator for a 64k zip file?
we are currently switching to a new server and can only upload html files on the old farb-rausch.com url, so for now, a html-file that forwards to the new location via frame is about the best we can do. - isokadded on the 2002-09-13 22:14:08
- 64k Windows fr-08: .the .product by Farbrausch [web]
- fr-028: brullwurfel, our 64k musicdisk, has the fr08 music (both the loader and main tunes) and a diskwriter, plus some interface around it :)
alternatively, you can get original fr-08 tune extractor at http://kebby.org/fr08zakz.exe - isokadded on the 2002-09-12 16:44:33

- 64k musicdisk Windows fr-028: brullwurfel by Farbrausch [web]
- nearly all our intros have really low cpu usage (except for sound). only exceptions are fr010 and fr019, the former for having rather sucky code :), the latter for doing many cpu-calculated effects.

- 4k Windows gracchus by kolor [web] & Freestyle [web]
- shiva: didn't help. anyway, when a production is THAT bound to the computer it was coded on, calling it a 4k intro is not kinda true - if you require a THAT exact match of the windows version, you're relying on several hundred megabytes of stuff, only they're not in the zip file.
still, i have some problems with that. - isokadded on the 2002-09-02 13:59:42
