- demo JavaScript Tachyon Drift by Wide Load
- This group is something to follow in the future. Wide Load is improving after every production they release.
But here's the criticism:
Colors were too bland, give your demos more color! Prod imagee here on pouet has an image that contains just black, white and purple... booring! Also adding more tone to objects would help unless you're specifically taking consistant stylish advantage of not having it, like by doing a minimalistic demo(dunno something).
The transitions didn't really fit well together and the scenes didn't have any proper connection with them, this is a problem that I've been struggling myself too. My best guess is just to theme your demo better.
Keep improving. - rulezadded on the 2015-05-27 09:02:22
- demo Windows Endo by Epoch [web]
- Way too similar with "Entropy" and "Exodits, God Shift". You've done the same looking post-processes, particle tricks and such too many times now. But now everything about those you've done before are brought to perfection so I forgive you. Colors are way too monochromic for my taste most of the time. Camera work is insanely good in this one. Soundtrack is maybe the worst one yet but IT'S NOT BAD AT ALL. It's just not as good as tracks in previous Epoch demos. Basically it's too dragged out even for a ambient track.
But these epoch demos always have that crazy crazy feeling to them that give me the shivers. Something that fairly unique! - rulezadded on the 2015-05-27 08:52:49
- demo JavaScript "420" by Quadtrip
- Seems to be way too rushed. But I love totally dig the demootoscopey style in this one and hey it has the classic M-train, as someone who lives in Kannelmäki that alone would give a thumb up!

- demo Windows Epidermic by Cenon

- demo Windows MacOSX Intel Europe by Jumalauta [web]
- Yes yes, graphics were ripped. That wasn't the point here. The point was to get a political message across and for that it's good.

- demo Windows Low Echo by Australian Drug Foundation
- I seem to get an error that might be easily solvable. I would've figured the problem myself but the error message didn't say which source file contained the error.
ERROR: 0:54 'texture2D': undeclared identifier
ERROR: 0:54:'texture2D': no matching overloaded function found(using implicit conversion)
ERROR: 0:54 'yx': field selection requires, vector, or matric on left hand side
ERROR: 0:54 '=': cannot convert from const float to 2-component vector of float
Demo still tries to run but seems to cause some post-processing errors.
I have a 750M.
I'm quite sure this was one of my favorites when I saw the compo but I won't thumb up before I've seen it either on video or real hardware. - isokadded on the 2015-05-27 07:41:20
- demo Windows Winter One by JUGZ [web]
- I did like this at the party but after watching it home I'm quite disappointed.
This was a step down from the last release. Everything felt like it was slapped hastily together. Particles, model pieces and such were appearing from thin air in many scenes. Static overlay graphics just lazily slapped on top of the screen and then rotated. Also it annoyed the heck out of me how in the running scene those polyhedron pyramids where all in the same y-axis in middle air, but that just maybe me. Also was it just me or were some synch problems? Camera could'be rotated a bit more too imho.
I hope the final will be better. - isokadded on the 2015-05-27 07:27:48
- demo Windows Rock'n'Roll Deathspheres by Hackers [web]
- Ok so this wasn't as good as previous Hackers demos.
Music is catchy and yeah it was something different this time so that good. Effects were decent technically but weren't very pleasing in design sense, this demo had no consistency in the theme.
Some of the scenes had raytraced/marched balls but nothing very interesting wasn't done with this technique, only filters and non sensical scenes were applied. Yes that's what the previous Hackers demos did but that was completely ok because those felt consistence in the vaporwave demonstration vhs tape thingy sense, this did not have that, this jumped from a amiga demo on a pc style to a hack daniels jokedemo(dunno what to call this) to a tv show type. Just didn't feel right.
But it was still fun to watch so hey here's a thumb up. - rulezadded on the 2015-05-27 07:16:23
