- Can't believe I haven't given this demo a well-deserved thumb up. This is a classic, possibly the finest "3D flyby demo" ever.
It is a bit on the long side, but fortunately there are some nices breaks (ants, robots, water room etc.) from the industrial static scenes that keeps it going.
Still, the probably greatest thing of this demo is the outstanding quality of both code and modelling/texturing. - rulezadded on the 2007-01-12 23:41:29

- So after my first 4k J2ME intro Proof of Concept 4k, I decided to try to squeeze in music and 3D... Ended up having to go pretty minimalistic you can say, bu atleast it was possible! :)

- I just replaced the download with a new version (v1.01) since a curious guy decompiled it and pointed out that I had a "System.out.println" each frame in the fractal...
Oops! Some debug code I left in there... Do I feel stupid now, the way I optimized it to get below 4, and then it turns out I have debug code left in there!
With the println removed I saved abut 150 bytes...
Anyway, I heard that on some phones the System.out.println() can takes some time, so the fractal could possibly run a bit better on this version, but don't count on it. - isokadded on the 2006-11-28 19:56:11

- Delivers exactly what the name promises! :)
And as always, nice to see stuff produced for some of the more non-mainstream platforms. - rulezadded on the 2006-11-19 23:54:22

- Impressive! (both codewise and that the compiler managed to produce a so small file)

- Coll stuff for 64 bytes, like the fact that it changes palette to add some extra variety.
Btw. anyone know the theory behind the Baze pseudo-sine-generator? It's damn compact atleast! - rulezadded on the 2006-11-09 20:00:19

- Very stylish!
I do agree that the line-extruder has been recurring perhaps a bit too much in FLT demos now. - rulezadded on the 2006-11-06 19:25:52

- a_lee_n: Sure, I can do a video cap of it! Will try to fix it during next week. (not all that much to see though! :))
manko: Yeah, there is tons to do in the optimizing department code wise aswell.
Regarding the zip-compression - the first build I did using Suns jar-tool, and it came out 60 or so bytes too big, but by using WinXP built in zip it came in just below 4k. I can imagine other zip-tools doing an even better job. - isokadded on the 2006-11-05 22:57:47
