- demo Windows Run for your lives! by Disaster Area [web] & Kaolin
- hitchhikr: it is actually a raytraced voxel. It basically traces the corners of a square and decides whether there's anything exciting in the square to bother tracing any further (based on intersection distance to camera). If it's worth it, it subdivides the square and repeats the process ... the bilinear filtering artifacts you are seeing is the colour interpolation across an untextured quad.
You're right about it not being metaballs, though - this is just what it looks like when your camera viewport is a sphere equation and your field of view is over 360 degrees ;)
rmeht: I've heard of this happening & am looking into it - we made a new framework for this demo, so there's bound to be a few bugs lying around. - isokadded on the 2007-01-11 06:39:57
- demo Windows Xmas 2006 by Kaolin
- This one deserves a big thanks from me. The reason it was made is more xmas than the usual xmas demo. Thanks!

- ASD actually did something I really like. Could've done without the cubes and piano fill and 'traditional demo' elements, but I'll rationalise that to myself by calling them the experimental bits =)

i2pi should've won, of course.
QLPTLTIE super tip #1: alt+f4, aka "close"
for the 0 people who care, there's a post-party version on ftp.disasterarea.net somewhere that implements esc, removes vram reads, and other clever artifacts of haste/intoxication. - isokadded on the 2005-02-23 18:09:55

- yep ... part 2 was nice ... part 1 didn't do it for me ... i don't know why not, they're both pretty similar visually.
