  Figurehead monarchs represent values I hate, like traditionalism and power through heredity. They hold their position because some of their ancestors were better in organizing war, raping and pillaging, and knew how to play political games. No matter what you say about the French, but at least they knew how to handle monarchs.
  
  In the other hand I consider this demo just politically ambiguous infotainment.

Today countless of people from all over the world are shaping new färjans and sharing the experience with their friends. The Last Färjan of Late Capitalism was created to celebrate this movement while respecting the roots of original färjan - direct and unforgiving social commentary.
  
  We artists are constantly tempted by money, power and fame, but we shouldn’t sell our ideals to satisfy the needs of establishment. Through art we have unique opportunity to shine light upon those pushed into the darkness and cast shadow on those basking in unrighteous glory. We should accept how demos have become are a serious medium for political communication. Creating art for sake of art is noble indeed, but doing so to change the world is not any lesser goal.
  
  The Last Färjan of Late Capitalism is a call to arms for the international Färjan community, demoscene and all artists. No matter how insignificant you consider your art and no matter how small your audience is, you all have the power to change the world.
