- demo Windows JavaScript Square One by mfx [web]
- Rules, obviously. The visuals and aesthetics are top notch, and the soundtrack fits really well!
It got kinda boring after a while for me though - the soundtrack was a little to repetitive over time, and eventually I could exactly predict the cube's rotation and the entire "scenes in a cube" thing became old. The same amount of content in half the time would have worked better for me. - rulezadded on the 2021-05-16 12:48:41

- Massive! o.O Really interesting bytebeat sound, didn't sound like typical bytebeat. And the architecture and colors (plus hires!) are astounding!

- 4k Windows Ephemeral by LJ & Puryx
- So serene and well executed! Also big kudos for combining visuals that are very unusual for LJ with a track that's very unusual for Puryx, and arriving at an extremely well matched and beautiful combination. I love to be surprised (again) by both of you <3

- demo Windows Arcade by Spectrals [web]
- I can see how this may come across as pandering to nostalgia but with all the attention to detail I truly believe it's more of a huge and insanely long love letter to the arcade era, executed by people who are old enough to believably reminisce about it rather than just riding a trend. And as others already pointed out, the execution is spectacular from the ridiculous amounts of content down to the loving little details.
The soundtrack is easily one of the most massive and diverse pieces of art I've heard in a few years, several demos' worth of tracks all gelled into one opus magnum. And likewise, the scenes all blend together in one single camera path - I had to watch the video in slow-mo just to catch some of the transitions ("wait, when did the mainhall tables become arcades?!?").
I will remember this demo for years to come, thank you for making it. - rulezadded on the 2021-04-10 20:38:15
