- Fantastic! Great design and sync, some cool ideas and good music - what's not to love?

- 64k Windows Project Genesis by Conspiracy [web]
- Good of course, with unbelievable amount of content. But while some parts are still good, somehow the music and some visuals haven't aged very well IMHO...

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Elysium by Sanity
- They don't do music like this anymore. :(
And the code still blows my mind. - rulezadded on the 2015-12-09 11:40:44
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS World of Commodore by Sanity
- Great first part in the typical early random-effects-no-coherence style. Second part is not that good, though.

- AMOS, huh? Used to laugh about AMOS in 1991; seeing this, I'd better stop laughing...
Love the music, good design and gfx too. - rulezadded on the 2015-12-08 20:40:03

- @lvd: Thanks! :-)
I used KK's k65 compiler/linker framework to create this demo. It provides a more compact language for the 650x CPU where each opcode has a shorter representation and which allows for some C-style structures for loops, if clauses etc. In addition, it provides a linker framework to relieve the coder from absolute addresses and bank switching code (although it's still possible if needed). KK planned to add support for the C64 as well, but I'm not sure on the status of that.
I had used dasm for my first demo TIM1T, and dasm drove me insane. KK's framework has its own idiosyncrasies and weird little quirks, but overall it makes development a lot faster and easier. It's available at http://devkk.net/K65.
Since I was an alpha tester during development of this demo, the sources might no longer compile with the latest version out of the box, though. - isokadded on the 2015-12-05 21:23:23
- demo Commodore 64 Md201511 by Cosine [web]
- Hm. Too simple, and I even don't like the scroller which is technically interesting but not pretty.

- I know of the false positive problem with packers, but I actually misread the Chrome warning and interpreted it as the domain known to be serving exploits. Now I see that it's indeed only complaining about "harmful downloads" on the site, so yeah, sorry, nothing to see here.
You *could* add a link to a scene.org download, though.
Anyway, will watch the demo tonight. :) - isokadded on the 2015-12-01 08:32:30
