• i dont get the complaints about the soundtrack...
  i cant imagine another type of music be more fitting when you break shitloads of glass than a cymbal orgy in a brilliant metal track.
  
  also for some personal reasons this triggers emotions and feelings i rarely have when watching demos, which makes this way more than just a good demo to me.

  midi ... well, maybe cause its the only way to get sound into a 1k while not taking too much of the little space available?
  same for the slowdowns btw. no space left for early outs and speedup code in the shader.

• that only works if you can live with using the same instruments (16 max) and the same bpm.
  if the songs need different instruments and or bpm you dont have many choices left :)
