- good prod again =) best charts mag of course..
on the voting:
yeh, i think we all (even us fairlight guys who benefitted from it) realise that the chart positions on best group charts are a little bogus.
i dont think its so much warez sceners or self voting (surely nobody does it? far too lame) as perhaps a lot of friends of the groups voting.
but that said, if you're unhappy about it, the best thing to do is a) go and vote yourself and b) spread the word to all the sceners you can find, and get them to vote too. the more sceners that vote, the more representative and "accurate" the voting is. if you dont do that.. then.. not much room to complain, is there? =)

- hm.. maybe we should have made it work with dx6 too (its not reasonable to expect the latest released dx to be installed, right?) :)

- you need dx8.1b not dx8.1.. we had this crash on my machine a couple of weeks ago as i had dx8.1 debug, and there were a couple of functions that couldnt be found (resulting in the null pointer reference you describe). get dx8.1b and it'll be solved.

- i love this. very good 3d modelling and animation (quite a rarity). and the rendering effects are nice too. all that with a great atmosphere too.
if it only hadnt been so dark on the bigscreen, im sure it would have won.. - rulezadded on the 2002-08-05 12:11:02
- 64k Windows Timeframe by Fairlight [web]
- no idea why its so slow on some configs, it always runs at a decent frame rate (20+) on my machine (1400, gf2). and even runs much better than the 5ps you quote on my amd k6-2 400 with gf2. so im guessing something else is amiss. maybe its a driver issue, or an os issue, or whatever, i dunno, cos ive never seen it run that bad on any machine i tried it on.
however, we were quite fucked in the compo results. - isokadded on the 2002-08-05 12:03:24

- i really should bugfix this =)
has anyone actually got it working properly, fullscreen, in winxp? ive heard it works in windowed mode.. but ive been unable to test it at all yet.
really dont know about the crash on yours phoenix, its always worked on 98 as far as i can tell.. maybe it is the drivers.
send bugreports to smaash@yahoo.com please and i'll try to fix it =) - isokadded on the 2002-04-18 11:19:17
