- demo Atari XL/XE numen by Taquart
- well... ;) i my fault...i just tried some of the FX and they show not all gfx on 64k machines...on 128k machines some more fx run... so it seems not 100% true that the fx can be run on 64k machines... (without a rewrite). ;)

- demo Amiga AGA Tint by The Black Lotus [web]
- one of my fave a1200 demos... and i fully agree with most of the comments... can not believe it is 10 years old now... it was my inspiration in many ways... TBL rocked... and the euro pop at the end was a killer... :)
i had another hungaryian production with a female singer mod? anybody nows that? - rulezadded on the 2006-12-23 10:51:59
- demo Atari XL/XE Total Daze by Tight
- still one of my alltime faves... i love the x-ray music (esp. the 2nd part after the greetings)... brilliant!!! i don't care regarding the prerendered donuts... i love them... hehehe... the design is really well done...
i was little bit disappointed when i saw the fullscreen bump mapping of the credits... i just coded my own bump mapper and my one worked in 6/7 frames at lower resolution and this one working in 1 frame kicks my one its butt...

- intro Atari XL/XE Really Unreal by Taquart
- my 1st production under TQA label... you don't want to see the 1st version... Slaves forced me to rework the whole intro several times until the damned deadline... and i hav e sent the intro via uni account in last minute to poland... (i am the only member who lives in germany, rest is polish... ) i was very excited over the compo weekend how the intro will perform...
wait at the beginning little bit as there is the small code generator running... (it draws "circles"... ;))
the fire effect is little bit slow and could be done faster but this part was included just to make it more interesting... it's double buffered and the lines are drew in realtime using straight breseh. algorithm...

- oh....that was exciting times back summer 1996 when i got email contact with Tamas Bene of the demo group HARD...we had several discussion on FX and he explained that in one of their releases the plasma fx had a bug which they could not fix... the scanline in so called "mode10" was shifted by one pixel to the right compared to "mode9"... so we made experiments with converters and display routines and came up with this new mode called "HIP" - Hard Interlace Picture... and a new area was born... a similar effect was used in the "lost 3rd side" of Slight's overmind but it wasn't interlaced... after this intro which i have sent at my unviversity's email account (oh...NO internet at home!!! times...unbelievable ;)) to Orneta Party 1996....after that most of the demos had a HIP picture (or derivates like RIP or TIP)... when you have seen Numen you know that it is now possible to display 256 colours in 192x240 on small atari... :) the great music track is from the game "back to time" or how was it called "timemachine"...an old game by ariolasoft...but the "synth" like soundtrack has just <512 bytes if i recall it correct... so this is a real classic as well...

- 8k Atari XL/XE 8k-Dentro by Heaven
- hahahaha....boys and girls... this was written 1991 just when i left school... i still like it...i had no internet or bbs at that time so i had just influences by the demos i had... so... it's very unusual in a way...but i got my 1040ste at that time...maybe that was the influence... oh...maybe i learned how to use fixed point maths for the sinus tables and that's why the dots are morphing so smooth... but i do not have the source anymore... ;)

- my 1st big production i have done being a trainee back in 1996... all done alone... 2 comments... i used aminet gfx for the 256 colour rubber pic and in the "3d gates" were inspired by an t.s.c.c. demo as far as i can remember... (terrorise your soul?)...
the credits screen with the long U2 music show what has changed since then... i guess nothing... ;) read the last line...
