- The fantastic city scene is the crown of an overall solid demo, although a lot of it does feel a bit "by the book". Regardless, the 3D and the music were excellent throughout.

- I never was a huge fan of the "short film in demo form" formula. I'm not exactly sure what it's trying to tell (if anything), but the atmosphere is truly overwhelming. The visual quality also really puts this on par with traditional cinema. I'm not one of those that feels that demos in general need to be 'mature' or anything, but productions like these are really worthwhile. Also that 'cliffhanger' (unintentional or not, what with the bytes and everything) is still haunting me.

- During and after the compo my overwhelming feeling was that it was a bunch of pretty pictures arranged in a rather boring way. And that wasn't alcohol-induced attention deficiency per se, because the Conspiracy entry grabbed my attention from start to finish, despite being pretty slow. Rewatching it back home made me pay attention to the quality of the rendering and the scenes a lot more. Also there's some serious cinematography going on. Besides, the quieter setting made for a much more immersive experience. I guess Mercury outconspiracied Conspiracy. :)
Also, as a space and SF nerd I also have to applaud the references to 2001, the iconic Pale Blue Dot image, and some other classic space imagery. (Minor niggle: there's a scene with a ringed giant where the ring system does not align with the cloud bands. Maybe it's the perspective but it looked unphysical.) - isokadded on the 2016-04-06 02:04:14
- 8k Windows Nexus 8 by Loonies [web]
- A big resounding "meh" for the arguments about lack of creativity or artistry. There's nothing wrong with going for the technical challenge rather than the artistic one and it's clear that there's plenty of that right here. Not effects-wise but packing all that faithfully remade content in 8k is impressive in itself.
Like many others here I was blown away by the accuracy of the scenes as well as the music remake. I was chuckling with delight during the entire screening of the prod, and still did afterwards. Easily one of my favourite prods of Revision 2016. - rulezadded on the 2016-04-06 01:51:19

- Never mind the content and the technology, GRG's tune alone is worth a thousand thumbs up!

- Nothing special really, but it's a fun watch and it nails the theme again. Nice tune as well.
