- demo Atari ST MOTUS by SMFX
- What not to love in that one: Great flow, great color scheme, thoughtful transitions, everything works well together and feels fresh :)
I like the irony though: It's a ST demo, not STe - which is quite a feast -, but since there are pretty much no normal STs with more than 1 meg (that required an humongous amount of soldering) , it will be watched on STe anyway :D - rulezadded on the 2020-02-23 10:38:11

- 128k Atari STe Time Slices by Defence Force [web]
- I originally made a youtube video capture from the real screen on the real hardware:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlpP7JVImGA
Then it was replaced by an emulator capture, made with Hatari which unfortunately does not support color changes in Monochrome, so there are issues (like the raster bars are on white background instead of black, most of the gray scale tricks are gone, and the big vertical scroller is missing):

So I made a new one, still on emulator, but using Steem SSE instead of Hatari, it's still not as nice as what you can see on the real machine, but at least all the effects are present, so if all you saw was the Hatari version, please check that one instead:

- demo SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive The Spiral by Resistance [web]
- The soundtrack is specially impressive, with deep bass, and very modern sounding EDM/Trance type of music :)

- demo Atari STe Save The Earth by Defence Force [web]
- spkr: That was not actually disconnected in my mind, the idea was that by continuing to do demos on our old computers we were actually being careful about the environment, by not entering the cycle of buying and throwing :)
But yeah, insight is 20/20 :)
Damn, just realize the demo is now 10 years old, and I guess everybody was right, the climate has not changed at all. - isokadded on the 2019-08-03 21:15:33

- The choice of colors is interesting, the logo on the screenshot with the moving lines reminds of all this retro SynthWave videos :)

- demo Atari STe Vulgar Display of Power by Extream
- I've seen worth design, and since it does not go on for hours and hours, it's good enough for me, here's your thumb up!

- demo Atari Falcon 030 Lockup by Mystic Bytes [web]
- Nice music :)
I was wondering, would it not help to compute actual quads for the cube sides instead of two triangles? That would be one less normal computation per face, and would hide the color discrepancy.
Just thinking out loud :D - rulezadded on the 2018-11-13 09:31:51
- demo Commodore 64 The Star Wars Demo by Censor Design [web]
- I've only seen a youtube version linked earlier on facebook, so I'm not sure if that was the final demo version.
There was some awesome graphics and sound, but to me it looks like it was rushed for release because it lacks the usual smooth transitions of C64 demos, there are some visual glitches here and there visible for a couple of frames, and yes, the second part loses the focus and just go back to pure demo effects.
Maybe a 101% version with transitions fixes and maybe some effects removed, and yes, with a star wars scroller :D - rulezadded on the 2018-11-06 08:28:25
