- diskmag Linux Windows MacOSX Intel ZINE #14 by Brainstorm [web] & BitFellas [web]
- It's probably the first time ever that I thumb-up a diskmag. Several interesting articles there, and also props for no delay between the executable and the online version.

- 4k Linux Ratkaisu by Chemfy
- Nothing wrong with this one. Thumbs up for releasing the source code.

- demo Windows Ceasefire (all falls down..) by Carillon & Cyberiad [web] & Fairlight [web]
- I liked it too.

- 4k Windows Atleeti by Archee [web]
- Annoying music, doesn't really work as a demo, and I think all the algorithms used were already seen in the previous Archee prods (which are much better in terms of music and design).

- 4k Windows Neanderstaller by Pittsburgh Stallers [web]
- I don't really get all the praise this prod is getting, so I'm compensating with a piggy. After an "epic" beginning, I got disappointed by the fact that it's just a standard-fare rhythm visualizer. The music is good, and the algorithm for the object is apparently nice and produces pleasing output, yes, but that's about all of it. Nothing extraordinary.

- demo Windows Abysmal Invaders by Pyrotech
- I disagree with the 3rd place as well, but I actually liked the demo somewhat. The thumb is for the demo itself, not the ranking.
And come on, it was just a public vote, and everyone has their own opinions - including the vast majority of voters who hadn't really got inside the deep traditions of demo esthetics. I guess I would have voted for something like this at Asm'95 (my first actual demoparty) after getting really bored for all the "meaningless" object/effect shows. - rulezadded on the 2010-08-10 13:06:08
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Grind by Dekadence [web] & Accession
- I was baffled about what kind of Amiga was running this demo, as the compo slide only stated "Amiga". Now that I'm disappointed that it wasn't an A500 doing a major technological breakthru, I still thumb it up for the music and the visual impression.
