- Holy shit what a style! Not that I ever doubted Fra, but damn damn damn - you rock! :D
Tune got me bouncing, while tapping feet enjoying that kick ass sync for the splendid visuals.
Keep it up! <3 - rulezadded on the 2013-11-13 23:37:29
- demo Windows JavaScript Exponential Growth by Outracks [web]
- Techwise big props to you guys for delivering a demo in both WebGL and as executable, this alone is quite kickass.
Demo itself is neat, and feels a bit like you didn't have much time completing it, as it somehow misses a kicker for me. I do love the textures, and overall colourscheme, sync is good and DOF was used eloquently.
Tune leaves me a tad bit cold, it sure is good - and I love how it gains momentum - but like the demo it misses a certain something that I just can't put my finger on.
It's solid, it's Outracks, it's JS and EXE, up goes the thumb <3 - rulezadded on the 2013-11-13 19:53:48

- demo Windows STS-01: Lucy in the Sky with Deities by Synesthetics
- I was sure that I was only a bit drunk when I was starting this demo, but when the tune started I really wasn't sure about this so clearly anymore. Also sweet white smoke came out of my disk drive, took a hit and and saw three more colours than those 32 million have have been offered.
420/10 would watch again, and again - and even again. - rulezadded on the 2013-11-03 04:14:39
- demo Windows Agenda Circling Forth by Fairlight [web] & Carillon & Cyberiad [web]
- Imagine making your first prod, imagine doing it at the party place, imagine staying awake for more than 24h - handing your prod in, and wait for the compos to start.
I stood there, tired as fuck - saw our demo on that fucking massive huge screen - the music playing loud and hearing a bass that was not from this planet. Trying to keep awake, after one unbelievable amazing demo was played after ours - just to be topped by the one that came after it. Having the feeling that this compo will never end, and actually hoping that it never does. Feeling a bit proud that we've too have been a tiny part of this compo.
Then silence, after we're done yelling and clapping for the prod that just ended - Fairlight is coming up next - curses are heard left and right, everybody being pumped to see what they're up to.
HOLY FUCK SHIT DAMN!
Seeing something that was out of this world, so many particles that the night sky would just admit it's being second. A tune, that has such a bass that the floor would tremble.
Jaws have been lost until today when the scene with the two runners was shown, but nobody cared as the bass was swelling up again - some Finnish guy was yelling: "louder" but we never heard from him again.
Suddenly the "End of compo" beam slide was shown, everyone hanging their head in shame - walking away from the bright full high definition screen - thinking the scene just died, a little. Even heard about a laptop being thrown, in the hope that the elders of the scene would notice - and keeping the scene alive by offering that bits and bytes of that cracked open machine.
It didn't help, Fairlight took over the scene, again. - rulezadded on the 2013-11-03 03:47:46
- demo Windows Iconoclast by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- So many memories attached to this prod.
For me, back then, it defined what ASD is - as this was the first prod I ever saw from ASD, I learned that ASD are the guys with the transitions that, if you don't pay attention for a second, you're forgetting how you got from point A to point C via point B. That those are the guys with that damn awesome awesome guitar riff, that makes me want to play the demo over, and over and over again.
So, if I ever get the question what demo I'd take on a lonely island with me - it'd be this one. As I've maybe seen it 30 times now, and still find things I've not noticed before. It's that damn good sync, that isn't in your face - but so subtle it make one smile if one notices it - to the sheer amount of details for that overall content rich prod that makes me sit here - like a small child wondering how all of this has been assembled.
Was the music first - or the visuals, and does it even matter? - rulezadded on the 2013-11-03 03:08:26
- demo Windows Ferner by Still [web]
- Love the contrast between the very soft scenes where everything dissolves to the harsh geometry. The tune plays the same vibe, it's clear but playfully - harsh but not mean.
Walking that fine line and combining both style is something probably only Pixtur is able to do. - rulezadded on the 2013-11-03 02:37:40
- 4k Windows yes we can by Quite
- Quite could draw a banana and I'd still be able to distinguish them from any others banana, because you guys have that unique style and flow about your demos. Dreamy, but floored - amazing visuals but not too spacy.
You guys, actually make magic. - rulezadded on the 2013-11-03 02:18:58
