- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Fragile Art by Diabolos
- thats a very scene answer ... not sure what you mean but i said i liked the demo and im amazed that a machine with so many hardware tricks has so little traction but never mind :) im not here to make friends anyway lol

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Fragile Art by Diabolos
- lol, there i was like "long time since i saw a classic 1999er" in the post-covid milennium but its 1992 heheh ... still nice demo tho , still a bit amazed how a cheat-machine like the Amiga is so undercoded in the retro-scene what with all the side processors and hw-level scrollers and sprites and paulas and what not ... a bit of a shame you'd think since it must be so much easier than a bare Atari ST which has basically nothing, not even enough time (or hardly) to code a whole screen in one frame you'd get more but the 16bit world seems to be undercover

- 4k Windows Architectural Shapeshifter by 0b5vr & Renard
- nice piece of k4ce ... i got here throught "software rendering on GPU somehow" and after watching it couldnt put my finger on it like "its 4k of ... " "its 4k of...."
but its 4k of https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=62935 perhaps (perhaps not) if its not "a.i.-assisted" i wish i could program like that :p - rulezadded on the 2023-11-15 11:09:08
- game Commodore 64 Eye of the Beholder
- This certainly is a feat ... so i went from "is this one of the 400 mega64 owners after seeing the famous juggler appear today (yesterday?) to "here" ...
Im not gonna join the "do a remake of this now" crowd but i would like to sign the "do an original 1 megabyte with an own plot , map and story" petition :p , there must be hidden miyazaki's somewhere to do the directing - rulezadded on the 2023-11-10 10:22:52
- demo Atari VCS Egypt, 2600BC by Genesis Project [web]
- hmm, this place really died out post-covid when you look at the bare number of reactions ... nice piece, definition of oldskool .. sinusoidal scarabs with a z-buffer too , bit of a shame Atari seems to have turned into some nationalist corporation but bem .. that wont stop the groupies

- been checking out post 2020 atari st demos (to check mister fpga atari core) , this one with first love must be on the toppers there - seeing all of it (and the decline of demos in general post-covid) makes me wonder if any machine other than the c64 might ever reach its true potential before its groupies die out. Even if this shows the diff in STE , first love shows an ST plain was a potential hot iron too looking like it might be an STE or a1200 maybe lol, its really a shame it all died out too quickly (not to mention the falcon which definitely never will see its own limits) ... good stuff

- well thanks :) in our huge resume of 3 c64 intros this is our favourite too :) after boundrless trying to get bars past 255 with an attempt at music vis in the side (without timing in the 2k) the idea was to get a line on every scanline so it turned out just like that, one single scanline in a 2k routine, the colour flash is when it switches the 2 skank lines every character (whatever the pro's call them, no one heres a dev or leet) and if i remember correctly theres no stack in the interrupts there b/c the cycles are needed so x cant be used (its been a while lol), together with the pet tv and the white noise when it hits the antenna its exactly 2048 bytes (un-packed) (but pouet doesnt have a 2k category) -
someone actually liked our stuff, maybe now a megademo is in the make (by 2050 or so :)
thanks for the comment, always nice if someone cares enough !! - rulezadded on the 2023-11-07 03:34:24
- demo Atari ST FirST Love by Overlanders [web]
- man ... going over "demos that work on mister fpga" (made 2020 or later) ... i stand in awe maybe first time since 'X 23 c64 streak this year, first time ive seen this , a standard ST (which i used to have looong ago), not even an stE, far from an A1200 ... this is totally subarashi-des omg

- hmm, the original Ultima I machine ... (i think ...) not sure about the specs but i do love me a megademo, i had a thought when watching but the comments seem to say as much ... its nice to show off tek-tek on venerable hardware but to me stuff like Void for the zx ( https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=87732 ) really stands out when it comes to "i love my old machine" megademos ... that doesnt make it any less impressive effort- and code-wise imo. I mean you cant do these things without lookup tables and precalc tables if thats what the commentaters mean by "fake" animations ... but hey , as long as opinion's free every comment is a gud comment and better than no comment hahah ... great, do a 13 minute story now (in 5 minutes, you know ... like youtubers :p)
