• Hicks: You are of, course, right about the technical superiority of your effects. No one who knows a bit about the Amstrad's limitations can doubt that you achieved, as a coder, the greatest goal.
  
  BUT... A demo is not just about code. It's about many other things too. Things related with the feeling, the theme, etc.
  Your demo rely too much in the "let's kick Batman ass!" theme so you put yourself under the shadow of the bat wings even before the demo start!
  
  Don't get me wrong... all this "trackloaders are for pussies" and "moaning and decrunching" lines are quite fun and cool to read.
  Even Batman Group itself did something similar against the demogroup Darkness in their demo Batman Vuelve (when they said "We are the True Dark Side" they are mocking another demogroup).
  But, anyway, their demo was far, very far, beyond Darkness' stuff in terms of design... so they prevailed.
  
  If you wanna kill Batman, you must smash Batman in all areas, not just in code.
  
  That said, I must add that, in my opinion, both Still Rising and Batman Forever are masterpieces.
