- demo Amiga PPC/RTG Till I Feel You by MadWizards [web]
- No i hadn't heard about a pouet crash. And i'm pleased it was finally no censure. And yes the more recent posts were important because they stated "officially" that i retract my song from this project.
And about me stopping to post, i expected my latest one to be last... - isokadded on the 2003-10-24 11:12:16
- demo Amiga PPC/RTG Till I Feel You by MadWizards [web]
- Ok, seems the admins removed my posts...
It's quite unbelievable and inacceptable...
So lets write again what I said sum time ago.
We are 1.5 year after the demo was first released. I still haven't seen it, not even screenshots... and haven't had any simple word by mail about the advance of the video version... The only thing i asked for was to have a video version and this wasn't respected.
So it's time for me to retract my music from this production... By this post i forbid the further use of my music in any release of this demo... This demo is a vaporware! made to win at parties, released many times (which is forbidden if i remember right).
If the mawi ppl want to publish this demo, they'll have to remove the sound, find another music if they want (guess it will make it able to represent it at a 4th party) along with any references to me or my music. - isokadded on the 2003-10-22 19:58:01
- demo Windows Weltenkonstrukt by Smash Designs [web]
- Should have use your power making sumthing less boring than a 3D flyby. Smash design seems stuck in flybys but i keep hope that one day they'll do somthing watchable, with correct music and a bit more than engine code...

- demo Windows ix by Moppi Productions
- I dreamt once the scene would forget about framerates and hardware.
From my point, demos have evolved. Nowadays, it's not anymore about speed and techniques.
Techniques we use is there to serve a goal. Wake up, the times where we could compete the game companies doing better techniques and visuals is gone. But the art stays! The art is where we still have chances to attract attention. The art i'm talking about can be expressed in many ways. For some people it'll be the feeling of a production that respects the oldschool conventions, for others it'll be abstract designs, it can also be visual tales...
Anyway, it's all now just a matter of taste! Lets forget about hardware and performances fight between ppl able to run something at home and the one that dont. Most of us dont use linux nor amiga (anymore), does it makes demos running on those platforms bad?
Compos rules imposes limitations. Anyone entering a democompo and respecting the rules is right to say he did a demo.
Moppi did a demo there.
You dont have a good framerate? You dont see why this demo is slow on your 5yo computer? Is this important, i mean you can still have a divx till you buy a new gfx card!! Is this what you take to rank a demo? Huh. Just expect to have more and more demos you wont be able to watch then (and you'll probably rank low).
If you dislikes the "art" in this demo, it's your absolute right. But lets forget about performances and hardware topic. - isokadded on the 2003-08-22 15:30:15
