• Twisters are nice and simple to code and can deliver good bang for the bug..ahem buck. ;) But you have to put in some effort with layering, colors and shading to make it look cool (or just distort the hell out of it). This doesn't look like a twister at all, because although there's some shading at the outer edges there are no reference points in between. Hence you end up with something that looks like two intersecting sine curves, with no visible rotation/3d "depth illusion" at all.
