- You can't be edgy, when your knife is dull. ;)
So while the concept is cute, the effect is weak, direction arbitrary, typography/graphics bad and the music bland at best. - sucksadded on the 2015-02-02 15:41:47

- A couple of scenes that mimic 1990s demo tropes in a strange way.
Besides: No real design, sync or direction. Repeated scenes, artifacts, so-so music. Mmmpf. - isokadded on the 2015-02-02 15:17:37

- Only thing I don't like: The train goes through the mountains (trees?). Just looks wrong to me. Also, some "cho-cho" audio is missing. But maybe there was no space left for that. Other than that: Great work, as usual. :)

- Just goes to show how you can easily generate press by hitting the right media buttons. Every news site needs a dozen stories per day and things come and go very quickly. If you wanted to generate even more attention you could try making a Super Mario Bros. clone in 1k or a Call of Duty clone in 4k. Or maybe someone should link them to the best 256 byte tetris we have so far, but then again, that's maybe too mundane, as nobody can claim to have bested some dubious 30+ year record. :)
Don't get me wrong: This program is pretty cool and there's a lot of work put into it, but all the shortcomings, bugs, begging people for thumbs and the apples to oranges comparisons regarding size and features make this an unlikely prod for me to like and endorse. It's also visually not the best solution. By adding spaces, it would look much more comprehensible and less crammed, etc. - isokadded on the 2015-01-29 17:04:02

- Mhmm, some sort of minimal tug of war?
And it's only the "smallest game ever" because it's not much of a game anyway. I'm sure there's plenty of room for a button masher in even fewer bytes still. :P - isokadded on the 2015-01-27 19:17:52

Curiously, the Mac variant (of all versions) is probably the best, followed by 3DO and Jaguar. - rulezadded on the 2015-01-24 15:41:56

This is what a demo by Camelot and Offence would look like.
Wat.
I doubt they would use 1980s linkers and old 1990s effects with borrowed music and graphics from the 2000s and call it a day.
This is a fan product. It creepily (and in many ways fairly accurately) emulates demos from a distinct platform that the author happens to love. Nothing wrong with that and even somewhat remarkable to go to that length, but also a bit shallow and fanservice-y for my liking. But at least it wasn't the 100th remake of some random part in Second Reality. Bonus points for that. ;) - isokadded on the 2015-01-23 17:32:17

- Those multi-layered 2d effects look great indeed. Also the tunnel with focal blur and the scene in the screenshot.
