- the mindcandy 1 version is not 100% complete soundtrack-wise (especially for the landscape-part), and the endpart is terminated quite quickly.. guess I just need to dig the old pc out of my basement then.

- I would also call the fisheye "a real effect", kind of cool how it's implemented.. Maybe it's the standard way for the regular 3d heads but I was impressed! The smoke around the train kind of gives it away :)

- Inconsistent my a**.. It doesn't tell a story or anything but imo demos shouldn't be about stories, demos should be about showing off! And almost all of the scenes have to do with cities & buildings. If the scenes would be any more similar, then this would be boring.. But now it's goood. Also the way the music changes with the b&w city........
To me this one has a large re-watch factor, I want to see the first smokebox again, I want to see the ill black & white city again and I definitely want to watch again the robots and wonder what on earth future technology you guys used to allow metal to flow through metal that easilly :D - rulezadded on the 2007-08-07 09:23:29

- Definitely the best ASD so far.. The guys have mad skillz and it seems to me that they're finally learning to hold back a bit and keep things cleaner instead of just throwing everything in your face at the same time :)
Sure, some parts were a bit out of place and with some even minor color tweaking or re-ordering it might have been even better, but with this massive amount of effort you can't really complain.
I really loved the fact that the demo has distinguishable parts, some good, some killer and some more mediocre, generally composed together very well. To me those are just things that make a demo something to remember. A demo with all parts "killer" would be too much for me to take :D Often, if a demo follows a strong story or the effects are too coherent, I end up only remembering the story or the coherent theme and forget all about the possible killer effects.. Maybe that's just me though :)
And about the "two demos interleaving", I actually liked it.. Almost like a battle between good and evil, or 2D and 3D..... :D I definitely wouldn't break those up into separate demos.
It's still not perfect, but wouldn't that be boring! Definitely woke me up. Anyone complaining about this one should just shut up and start coding something better! - isokadded on the 2007-08-06 14:40:59
