  - create a mask: you mean automatically generate a 1 bitplane bob containing all pixels that do not use the 1st palette color?
  - interleaved bobs: have you tried clicking "interlace bitplanes" in "Bob Export" ? What do you need?
  - don't hesitate to share any way to reproduce the bug you mention.
