- what uncle-x said, basically. It just doesn't look good.

- ultra: uh, time stretch and pitch shift are essentially the same thing, you know.
Brilliant collection of "what else can I do with C64MP3's decoder" nevertheless. :D And also thanks for that white paper. - rulezadded on the 2010-10-04 23:31:46

- Weak thumb up, mostly because of the soundtrack, the concept and the controversy that ensued. Also, it got me in the right mood last night and I really enjoyed watching :)
IMHO the biggest problem is what several people already stated: The glitchy style and the underlying 3D-ness of "Happiness" don't exactly fit together. There are a few scenes that work (the beginning and the last supper scene eg.) but at other places the stark colors clashed too much against the happy harmless 3d flyby that was shown by them.
Oh and people, stop saying "scenepoetry" as soon as there are texts which reek of meaning on screen. That's even more pathetic than your dislike of vocals or anything else even remotely conventional. :D - rulezadded on the 2010-10-04 15:59:32

- Hmm... what trace said. Party version somehow had more depth and tension to it. Doesn't change the thumb at all tho :)

- Absolutely mindblowing - the impression of sheer size the visuals in conjunction with the soundtrack convey when the camera leaves the first tunnel(-ish thing :) left me awestruck. To put it in Truck's words: This is HUUUUUGE. :D

- demo Windows Booth Jam by Kewlers [web] & Farbrausch [web]
- Oh btw, as people were asking: We didn't even think about submitting this into the ASM demo compo. First of all the deadline had long passed anyway - and other than that the demo was kinda done for the process, not the end result. Also we wouldn't want to drag down the compo quality :)

- "Damn, somebody has cheated and got a high score. Now I've got to cheat too to beat him" - Archee at ASM :)
Still like that "millions of stencil shadows equal ambient occlusion" rendering style, and the gameplay is even fun, which you sadly don't see too often in gamedev compos. - rulezadded on the 2010-08-09 09:47:27
- demo Windows Koiban by Satori [web]
- Absolutely massive track. Demo starts a bit slowly but gets better with every minute passing. Loved the feedback effects and this very distinct very software rendered down-to-the-last-pixel style. Didn't love the fps or lack thereof tho - using more than one CPU core should help there.
Should've ranked way higher but oh well, Satori demos were never particularly tailored for entertainment hungry party audiences anyway. :) - rulezadded on the 2010-08-09 09:44:22
