  my two cents: farbrausch has been traditionally bipolar about demos/intros - either they had a strong emphasis on the technical side with little emotional factor (the product, poem to a horse, etc.), or have been completely dire technically but with a larger level of depth (konsum, malpasset, etc.) - this of course is due to the considerable number of people in fr and of course i guess the same attitude i have: hating to repeat myself in prods.
  
  on the other hand, what this boils down to is that you will always have a divided audience because the demoscene itself is polarized the very same way your demos are (no wonder), and some people go crazy for the latest shader trickery while others prefer something minimal that just "feels" well.
  
  in other words, you guys have been carefully avoiding the middle ground (and rightfully so), but it comes with a price.
