  I have a question regarding Amiga compos (A500/A1200). Which unit do you mean with unlimited size? For the A1200 it is presumably MBs, since a HD can be assumed. But is that also the case for the A500, or are you talking number of disks there? (HD would be nice)

• Great demo and inspiring winner. Just watched it on 14" CRT and it looks really really slick, esp. the endpart high-res interlace scroller. Overall really high production value. I loved the graphics.
  Now I am hoping for a final version that doesn't require disabling B1260 accelerator boards for the loader-part to work and fixes a few minor visual glitches, mainly in the vector part.

• OK. But please stop mixing up chipset and CPU-OS-compatibility for the sake of your argument. It is perfectly possible to have OCS/ECS chipset with a fast CPU/FPU and a lot of RAM. You would problably have Kickstart 3.0 or higher in the computer then. IIRC ACA500 comes with Kickstart 3.1.
  
  Also, the Apollo 2030 from 1991, amongst others, should be able to run Beam Riders just fine. So we do not have to wait for the "future". It was already here.

• Behold. Never heard of accelerators for A2000 and A3000 like the the good old Blizzard 2060? Also, here is a video running it live on a souped up A1000. So there. Let me lol at you now.

• Beam Riders v1.2 has just been released (download-link updated). 32 MB Fast, 512 KB Chip, 68020+ w. FPU, any Chipset.
  
  This version adds OCS support! If no AGA is detected, the demo automatically falls back to OCS, making it work on any sufficiently expanded Amiga model. You still want to run it on 68060+, though!
