- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Vector Eye-Candy by Insane [web]
- Ugh, long demo is long, and I hated this kind of vector show-off back in the day already. And while I know you can skip parts via LMB now, this fundamentally goes against my definition of good pacing/flow. I mean, Mental Hangover is from 1990, and they already got the general principle right!

- So cracktros are still a thing, interesting. (For DLC? ...huh.)
Not bad, although the sphere movements are a bit uninspired... - rulezadded on the 2016-11-22 14:05:51

Quote:I thought that trying to recreate a song would end up with a lot more out-of-tune notes than that!
The funny thing is that TIATracker has a special feature called "pitch guide creator" which can give you a lot more in-tune notes than usual, if you know in advance which notes you need. A remix/cover version of an existing song would be the perfect use-case for this feature, but until now nobody has used it yet (I know Glafouk hasn't)... %-) - isokadded on the 2016-11-15 09:06:02
- 32k Atari VCS Chiphead by Altair
- The code doesn't push any boundaries but is solid, and the music is a great remix. What's outstanding however is that the demo inherits the dynamic pace and flow of the original, and as a result we have a "modern" demo style on an 8-bit machine - which is just lovely. :)
Nice usage of VCS capabilities to emulate original effects, like the lasers. - rulezadded on the 2016-11-14 20:21:24

- demo Windows Emus In The Zone by Epoch [web]
- Going in I didn't expect to like it ("another glitch demo...?!?"), but in the end I do. Although I don't like the glitch colors and find the distinction in style/transition between the beginning and the rest was too harsh, overall it worked out, the audio helping a lot here. And yeah, the crash at the end was priceless and extremely fitting, keep it! :-D
(Wonder how many "e" titles you'll manage to come up with in the end... ;)) - rulezadded on the 2016-11-13 21:29:01
