- demo Windows started walking south by The PIMP Brigade & bypass [web]
- Bumpin, fast and futuristic. Nice color scheme and the visual pace fit well with the music. Only thing I thought was a bit annoying was the end - I thought my DS buffer was freaking out or something.
Overall a worthwhile addition to my library! - rulezadded on the 2003-04-23 07:05:18
- demo Windows SquoQuo's Mansion by SquoQuo [web]
- Ugh.
A few reasons why this is getting a thumbs down:
-Overuse of blur
-Lack of cohesive atmosphere i.e. haunted house, then slinkys?
-REALLY CLICHE HORROR THEME ALERT: Evil Clowns - c'mon! The fact that it was singing a rather cliche [at least vocally] EBM track only worsened the blow.
-Hard to watch, not enough contrast in some scenes, too much in others.
It wasn't all bad though. Some of the models were actually quite good. If you took out the stupid clown (chosen as the singer/focus of the demo for some odd reason) this demo wouldn't be half bad. do this, tone down the blur, fix the vocals and it'd be a thumbs up. - sucksadded on the 2003-04-23 06:54:33
- 64k Windows Sun, Moon and Universe by Raiders Of The Lost Empire [web]
- I will say the piano track was in fact well played - good job in that regard.

- 64k Windows Sun, Moon and Universe by Raiders Of The Lost Empire [web]
- Wait... so Escaflowne is about people with turnip heads and no mouths or nostrils? I'm confused.
The visuals are boring sort of fly-by things, the lighting is much better than the environment or character models, and it really doesn't go anywhere. Sorry! - sucksadded on the 2003-04-23 06:22:01
- 64k Windows proof of ANSI by Never [web]
- hmm... A nice concept that really falls short of what it could've been - All the "ANSI" to 3D conversions are very strange in that it runs so fast in 3D, then crawls in "ANSI". I would've though it would be the other way around.
manx: I tried new drivers, and they didn't improve the "ANSI" speed one bit. - sucksadded on the 2003-04-23 06:14:51
- demo Windows PROTOZOA by Kewlers [web]
- One of the best of Breakpoint as far as overall continuity and design. Nothing amateur at all about this one. More proof that Kewlers belong in the hall of fame of demo design.
The music is some of the best out there as well, sort of a mix of newschool IDM clicks with older Autechre-ish synth design. Still melodic and fits perfectly in the context of the visuals.
Some people might complain about bad performance, and yes, it is taxing even on my system... But shouldn't it be? Why not have something that looks like it's from NEXT YEAR instead of TWO YEARS AGO? Only improvement would be having a resolution/bit depth setup screen.

- demo Windows pornonoise by Lunix & mfx [web]
- Boner inducing chaos. The track? - Top notch [i put it on my .mp3 player already]. Great sync and flow to it.
One of the few demos my girlfriend would watch all the way through.
Although I've seen some of these fx before in music influence, they're changed up enough to still look and feel fresh. - isokadded on the 2003-04-23 05:32:45
- 64k Windows Project Genesis by Conspiracy [web]
- What a _DEMO_ -- really - it's so long, so much content. How'd they fit it into 64k? I suspect satan is behind this... but regardless, very nice prod.
Only criticism would be the lack of fluidity between parts. There are 4 separate parts here, all with different songs and visual themes. I'd have gone right from the beginning [abstract shapes] to the tunnel and gears. Tip top besides that! - rulezadded on the 2003-04-23 05:21:33

- LHS - err... 1337 iz leet, mang. 666 iz evil, too... one might say being "leet" is evil. who knows.
good prod! 1 hour 8 minutes and counting for me! - isokadded on the 2003-01-01 04:53:10
