at desert dream most of our effects run about 20-30% slower because we trade that speed for loading. This is the point against using 320kb ram. you dont need to load and compensate for that like we do. You just throw part after part on the screens.
a c64 can do all of this (but slower) since its the same cpu (but slower) and you said all routines can run in 64kb. - isokadded on the 2007-06-19 20:03:37

- the dot tunel and the likes feel quite stupid in a sky box as does the "flat shaded-still-phong-torus" stuff. when I dont feel a machine is not sweating at all when doing a stunt its quite a let down to me, like at this one... I liked the colors and the gfx tho.

- in short what it can do other than emulating a c64:
-the emulated cpu can run roughly 3 times faster than 1mhz.
-extra cpu registers which can be mapped into the real ones sadly most of them reserved to do banking and stuff.
-320x200x8bpp linear mode
-other colorful modes but with attribute restrictions
- set screen address & modulo
- blitter with 2 channels, source, modulo, linelength, 2 channels can be combined with minterms (and/or/not/adc/etc)
- dma

- havoc,you sound like when speccy users tell the c64 colors sucks, because they arent like their oversaturated rgb puke :)
