- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Major Release by Da Jormas [web]
- Feels good to watch it. Many nice and tweaked effects from the 90s.
The music - first irritating but one can really get used to and even enjoy
it after a while - sounds highly familiar to me. Is it a cover version of a
popular (Italo?-)pop song from the late 70s / early 80s? - rulezadded on the 2022-05-17 10:13:33
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Flash for Fantasy by Sanity
- I liked it and in particular the music with the (horrible?) sax. 16Beat
could not believe it, raised his eyebrows and responded something
like:"Eh? Nothing special. A one-session production."
Now, after having listened to it again after all the years I come to the
conclusion he may was right?!
(But to be honest: I still like it :-) ) - rulezadded on the 2022-05-15 10:32:54
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Planet Rocklobster by Oxyron [web]
- Very enjoyable. Many classic but highly tweaked effects presented
straight from the shoulder with good pace and without any "Firlefanz"
(frippery).
Moreover, the source codes and a tech write-up are available :-)
The (strangely) good and remotely tribal sounding(?) music with its
very own style and mystic atmosphere is worth a mentioning, too. And
the endpart is a starwars scroller which is always a plus! All in all, a
great release I'll remember.
P.S.: I wonder if the two(?) discs full of additional effects have been
released yet? - rulezadded on the 2022-05-11 10:23:44
- 40k Amiga OCS/ECS KETAMUSKOLAR by KONEY [web]
- I had to sleep on this one a night... I acknowledge the experimenting
and the shearing, shifting and rotation of the screen content. On the
other hand, and maybe I have not grasped the avant-garde yet, two
points really make me feel uncomfortable and keep me from enjoying
this product: i) The music is sounding here and there like fingernails on
a blackboard and ii) the choice of the color palette is too dreary and
concrete-like (ash grey, mouse grey, dust grey, stone grey...) - isokadded on the 2022-05-06 10:30:18
- demo Amiga AGA THE CURE by RETREAM [web]
- Oops, a demo with a serious content and a message.
saimo, thanks a lot for your thoughts and their creative expression.
Usually, I am avoiding to watch "AGAs" since I am a child of the
A500 era, but for some reason, I guess it was because of the
comments and the title (cure is a good thing), I clicked that one and
I do not regret it. Nice effects and a very own style and mood. The
music fits very well. I like the drums and the guitar, though there are
too many notes, at least for my taste, that are played without bends,
slides or pull offs. Anyway, a captivating show and it is for sure not
the last time I have watched and listened to it.
P.S.: For fans of complex, modern and jaw dropping guitar music:

- What Scali said / 2019-04-22 18:39:42.
I like the plot and the atmosphere, and the music continued to echo in
my head for quite a while after I had watched the great show.
By the way, there is an informative talk of Kalms about "advanced
basics" with the title "High-performance code on Amiga 500"

- demo Atari STe The (fucking) (complex) Art of Profanity by SMFX & Dead Hackers Society [web]
- ...me again. "Only" want to add that the music is a masterpiece. The
track is so fresh, different and unique. It really blows my socks off like
Jayce's "Killer ( Axis / Unknown Territory) back in the days. Great. - isokadded on the 2022-04-26 10:39:58
- wild Animation/Video Scheisse HD by Penishure
- What is that for an ill-brained piece of sick entertainment? No thumb
because no animation. Ist das krank (prust)! - isokadded on the 2022-04-25 09:20:40
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS World of Commodore by Sanity
- In parts (topic: reusage of routines) what Kree wrote (2017-08-01
21:38:33). But on the other hand one can also argue that Wicked
Sensation shows many 3D effects/objects that others had already been
released before. I guess Sanity could have won if they had included
some filled 3D stuff they despised so much. Anyway, both demos are
really nice to watch and the music in both of them is just awesome.
And always remember what Chaos' legendary and smooth rotozoomer
is saying ;-) - rulezadded on the 2022-04-24 13:30:27
- demo Commodore 64 Hexagone II by Babygang
- Nice.
I did not own a C64 myself but a schoolmate did and there I once
watched an intro where a pram rolled in from the right, stopped in
the middle of the screen and a fierce looking baby appeared who
suddenly held a gun and fired wildly at the viewer. Was that from
Babygang, too? - rulezadded on the 2022-04-23 11:16:51
