• The artifacts kinda look like the encoder diffed each frame against the last source frame, not the last encoded+decoded one (or you should shuffle the sorted delta list a bit) :)

  Anyway, about the vocals: What Gargaj said. Put her into a properly insulated room, give her a shot of vodka, turn up the music on the headphones (but not too much) and then let her sing for half an hour _before_ pressing the record button. That should fix most of what's been criticised, really.

• Funnily I met an unnamed groupmate of Pixtur's at a small tech seminar last week who complained about all the dark and gloom in recent Still demos. Serves him right to get his eyes burnt out of his skull. :P
