- Stefan, sure the song is well known in SWEDEN, but this was in germany with an international audience.
If they had used a well known international hit we would have been like "ok, nice choice of music, but hey, why don't make something original" - now we actually said something like: "wow, nice music, wish we could get similar vocals for our stuff", as we took the originality for granted (as it would probably be both rule breaking and illegal otherwise).
Add the copyright issues and an aggressive music industry - I don't think we would like 'music piracy' in the scene.
And about adding credits later - well, wasn't credited at the bigscreen...
And would you consider that obscure barbie suicide page common knowledge too and therefore not needing credits? I don't consider this part much of an issue, that's just inspiration and maybe showing some lack of creativity ;)
(could have been cool with the curry wurst machine instead of the garlic press though ;)
Otherwise nice demo with usual great direction and graphics from louie, but this music thing is crossing the line.

- Yes, skycaptain is the main inspiration source for this one, including color scheme etc. And the antenna scene is directly from the movie :)

- 4k Windows Fallty by Loonies [web]
- Thx for all the nice comments :)
I've done a small update fixing the lag issues on nvidia cards and included a normal .exe in the archive. And the video has been replaced by a slightly better one from Crest.
The cpu speed doesn't matter at all - it's just rendering a single polygon - all the raytracing is done by the gpu.
Didn't know about lattice, but we did have Aura For Laura running at a time ;) - isokadded on the 2006-10-24 20:49:25
- 4k Windows galvaniseret STALL by Pittsburgh Stallers [web]
- Fails on my x1900 (compo machine..) and gf6800, but works on gf7600. It's also worth noting that even on the failing machines d3d debug doesn't report anything - making the remote debugging harder and a fix less likely.
But nice and quite different for a 4k when it works. - rulezadded on the 2006-10-23 17:00:47

- Yeah, I know it doesn't work on your computer and/or is too slow ;) X1300++ or gf6600GT+++ required.

- 64k Windows Flight 666 by Loonies [web]
- Sure, lots of space left for sound, the current intro could easily be squezed to 50k, but that was the music/player I got shortly before the party, so... The whole intro itself (ie not the object/shader/texture groundwork) was thrown together pretty quickly going for maximum impact in compo within the given time, which worked out as planned ;)

- Sorry for the broken link, as I didn't have the ftp password at the party - fixed now. There is now a live video at http://loonies.dk. A framerendered video should come up soon.

- demo Amiga AGA Multiverse by Loonies [web]
- Final version is now available at loonies.dk. It features a highend version with the original mp3 music for faster-than-real Amigas, improved compatibility (haven't got it working on AmigaOne though) and lots of small tweaks to the effects.
The linked video version is frame rendered with 16x FSAA and using the mp3 soundtrack making it quite a bit better than the real thing ;) - isokadded on the 2005-12-31 18:47:31
