- To me, this doesn't have the same flow and fun and enjoyability Everyway had. It gets too repetitive, and the effects don't pull the show alone (I guess they're not supposed to be doing that anyway). The voice samples are well done, though :-)
But what is サタネイメ (sa-ta-ne-i-me, shown for a second or so) supposed to mean? I can't figure it out. Is it just trolling? - isokadded on the 2020-04-21 22:38:41

- Rather different. I like it.

- demo Windows JavaScript cathodoluminescence by mfx [web] & Holon [web]
- @pandur: I don't know; I run Linux, so I haven't tried the .exe. Maybe WebGL is somehow less efficient in Chrome in Linux? Chrome seems to use a fair amount of CPU.
As for 10-bit encodes, drop me an email at steinar+demoscene@gunderson.no (or ping me on pretty much any of the larger IRC networks), and I'll share whatever I know. - isokadded on the 2020-04-16 17:48:09

- This is JavaScript? It doesn't feel like Javascript :-) Definitely awesome, well deserved ranking.
Also, congrats on making the most subtle encoder-killer I've seen. The combination of banding and just the right kind of noise pushes even high-quality captures into blocking in the dark parts; seemingly, the only real cure is to go to a 10-bit encode, which has its own trickiness. I'd do a capture myself, but my machine (i5-8400, RTX 2070) isn't fast enough to run this in 1080p60 :-) - rulezadded on the 2020-04-16 11:23:11
- demo Windows VX2 by Spectrals [web]
- This was my favorite during the compo. It takes a “what if?” concept, runs with it (much farther than the stated idea :-) ) and uses it to create a very consistent, interesting look. It's the strengths of the 1982 Vectrex and the strengths of modern, crisp 1080p graphics wrapped up into one neat little package.
The only thing that doesn't really feel good is the water effect near the end; it looks like someone just copied a Shadertoy example, and doesn't fit in very well. - rulezadded on the 2020-04-13 10:06:24

- demo Windows Pop-Art Demo by Fenomen
- Ripping or not… I understand from the .nfo that it was not intended to be done “in secret”, so at least there's that, but you need to credit it in the demo, because that's what people see.
What really kills it for me is the music, which doesn't feel like it matches the visuals at all. It tries to be happy, the demo is mostly happy but sometimes goes into speech-bubble mode, and it all just ends up overly repetitive. - sucksadded on the 2019-11-02 10:17:45

- Without the nfo, I would have been, like, “what?”. I feel a certain irony in thumbing this up.
