- okay, first for some general things. music is okay but not my taste, gfx are pretty okay too except for the horrible endpicture which looked like a rendering attempt from 1993 made by a colorblind person.
i was nicely surprised by the news, which were actually some REAL news for a change. seems like adok is trying to catch up with a certain recent publication. i hereby officially give a WARM THANKS for the link on the demoscene research bibliography, this one is really helping me a lot. but then, that iq test idea is erally really lame. it's a fucking insult, and the whole iq test thingie is totally dubious anyway. yes, i admit, i had to use trial-and-error to get through. so what? i more or less speak 7 languages, does it make me any dumber that i dont know some damn numbers in a row? adok, you really should get off that "idee fixe"...
but now to that outrageous retard called ep, and this is my LAST STATEMENT on him. he already proved he's a dumb moron by spamming the bbs and releaseing a really lame flame-page on me, so normally he should be worth wasting any character on him. but i just want to pick out just some things from his article where he tries to get personal on me...

I saw there, you criticize a lot but I have never seen an article nor a demo or a gfx or a sound by you.

plus, over 30 amiga ascii collections (with ~20 logos each) since 1998. participation in over 40 pc artpacks since 1997. writing for mags such as pain, blackmarket, jurassic pack and TAC. shooting over 500 fotos for www.slengpung.com, including famous ones like for example 50% of those which where in the bp2004 invitro. and last not least, contributing nearly 1200 products to this database.
yes it's not much. i believe that a coder who has coded only one really crucial intro has done something of a more value to the scene than i did in all my scenetime. but YOU, ep, what can you show? in all your "oldschool" time you have achieved far less than me, a newbie who's around only since 1996. and yes, i have swapped too. and i agree with you that swappers are a crucial part of scene history and have been of real importance back in time. but so what? it doesn't change the fact that not only you are mis-informed about your "contrahents", you are also so naive and illiterate that from now on i'm spending no time arguing with you, because it makes no sense. one last example of that for those who don't bother to download hugi.
that's what i originally wrote:
Quote:
"socialistic realism" in the ussr from 1932 on also required from all artforms to bring on "cheerful", "lively" etc. motives.
"seeing a firm, a factory with rusty pipes, fumes, cars or geometric stuff isn't fun at all" perfectly resembles the views of stalinist aesthetics towards futurism, constructivism and other avant-garde artistic movements. [...] (by the way, EP's other article "philosophy of and[?] ideas..." carries the same spirit. the slogan "we need more life on screen" was exactly what killed the 20s avant-garde cinema in the ussr, giving birth to aesthetically dead "realistic" motion pictures)."
and how does ep counteract?
Quote:What a futurist view, yeah!!! Hey DP, we will go walking together at Chernobyl, you will be happy near rusty pipes and with me dressed as a cosmonaut to protect myself from the radioactivity taking your hand. We will make a handsome couple. You will enjoy the artistical view of the beautiful firms which have burnt years ago, I'm sure you will see how fun it is to watch a demo with such a scenery: [...]
this is hopeless...
