• teo: you can barely compare showing a pre-release demo on the big screen at the party abandoned even by its organizers (yes, rush hours'99 was SUCH a failure, they fled out of it leaving people on its own) with a proper release on the next party. mind that 'original' version wasn't even spread after rh99 and was shown publicly ages after the that as a kind of curiosity for the ppl. the bottom line is - wrong example.

• This is a nice release and shit, but imho should also open the discussion - are we dead now from the creative point of view and have to eat our own tail?
  
  Who's next to visit their cellar and dug up their classics and apply some polishes to the code? 2014 - Nexus 7.1? Closerrr in 2015? What then? There will be 20th anniversary of every asskicking demo in the universe sooner than we think. Is demoscene becoming another mainstream cinema? Plethora of remixes, sequels, prequels and spin-offs doesn't push this cart any inch forward.
  
  That was fun seeing this on the bigscreen, but then I went home and realized it was also something retarded in clapping your hands to the oldschool classic demo with some tweaks applied. Correct me, if I'm wrong and this release deserve something more than a piggy.

• So, I've just realized that even buying myself an Alienware rocket with 2x GTX-555 SLI on board, I can't keep up with Smash. Fuck :) This demo is visually stunning. Music is not my cup of tea, though.
