- demo Playstation 2 Aura for Laura by SoopaDoopa [web]
- seen it. loved it. great production. and very, very dynamic. great synching with the music. sweet style and interesting visuals. even though it's just plain effect after effect.
big thumbs up : ) ! - rulezadded on the 2004-07-23 21:08:08
- demo Windows Your Fingers So Gently On My Skin by Plastic [web]
- Well ... as much as I apprecciate the hard work of all those 3D models, scenes and stuff (even though those human models look a little too amateurish to me) this production is too much "wannabe" for me ... wannebe realistic, wannabe artsy, wannabe narrative. but where 3D realism isn't automatically art, the narrative part doesn't really excite me eigher. there's nothing wrong with telling stories. Moppi does a great job when it comes to narrative aspects. but hell, they wrap it up in cool style, spice it with great type design and interesting details and cuts. this is what makes their releases art and this piece just ... erm ... 3D. because this one isn't advanced enough to go beyond the pure excitement about pseudo-realistic 3D scenes. and this is where true art begins.

- demo Amiga AGA exit planet dust by artwork
- I remember having watched this production back in 97 over and over again! I specifically remember that I loved the style big time back then. Haven't seen it in ages, but this was definately much "cooler" than the competing TBL demo!! Double thumbs up for this one ...

- invitation Windows Symphony 2004 Invitation by Plastic [web] & MadWizards [web]
- well ... it looks rather like 3D animation portfolio than a demo (or party invitation) to me. seriously, this doesn't feel like a demo or something scenish to me at all ...
i surely apprecciate the effort made and the awesome quality of objects and scenery but if there wouldn't be some greetings i would have no idea that it is scene-related at all. also the very 2D symphony-logo doesn't really match the style of the invite.
as a realtime 3D animation: awesome! as an invite to a demo party: not really.
i definately prefer moppi's assembly invite! - isokadded on the 2004-06-15 22:21:37
