- demo Windows Approach Point by Pyrotech
- So, I think it's an OK demo. But: I have no idea where those 1.5 GB are going? Are the particle systems entirely precalculated and stored or something? The slimey thing? There's like three effects and an animation player in here, so it's baffling.
The rendering itself looks nice (in particular the cubes, though the additive particles look really dated now), but evidently Pyrotech has ditched their own engine in favor of UE4 (with no mention on the composlide or in an .nfo), so what can you say. - isokadded on the 2023-08-13 20:49:15

- demo JavaScript Wake Up / Rise Up
- Congrats on your (finally) first prod :-) It gets a bit repetitive, but the content that is here is pretty good.

- I'm not sure if this makes any sense at all. But it was very Finnish.

- demo JavaScript NDV (닌자데브) 'We are back - JP Ver.-' Official MV by Ninjadev [web]
- Rendering is nice at times (some of the envmapping is awful, though; normals not quite right or something?). The character animation isn't really my cup of tea. Overall it feels a bit long for what it's doing, and less non-stop-fun than Ninjadev's usual style. :-)

- We waited for five years for ASD to return to Assembly with a blockbuster, and I was not disappointed. I only saw it on stream so far, but it has very much the quality of a modern music video (both in terms of direction and rendering)—only realtime. I agree it becomes a little repetitive at some point in the middle, but then he gets to the top of the mountain and it just takes a different turn, which helped a lot. (I also feel like it got a bit unlucky in the compo, in that we already saw a lot of mocap dancers in the previous prods, which lowered my tolerance a bit. But that's not this demo's fault, of course.)
I love the music, too. Congrats :-) - rulezadded on the 2023-08-06 00:01:04

- demo Windows mechasm by Fairlight [web]
- Some great moments; some of the rendering is superb (the foliage, wow) and the raytracing seems to be put to much better practical use than last time around. But for me, the robots seem to move around without much weight—they don't feel like physical beings. And some of the fluid and soap bubble stuff (marching cubes?) is artifacty in disturbing ways, which takes away some of the enjoyment. Overall a thumb, of course.
