• On the good side, a lot of 3D content (most of it really good, if a bit uneven in quality); on the not so good side, it ran awful, the music wasn't exactly exciting, and while there was probably a story being told, it didn't feel like it was coming through? (Though maybe it didn't really want to - which is fair.)

• "Worked" here in that it continually kept stopping the moment you get out of fullscreen - which I kinda had to cos it was running ~1-2fps; after hacking the source a bit to run it in quarter resolution it is watchable, but either way it's so noisy and dark that most of the experience is lost.

• The fact that this is not just head-and-shoulders but complete generations ahead of what the "average" is in the scene nowadays, and then Smash has to RATIONALIZE and DEFEND it is just beyond disheartening.

• Not quite there on the punchy direction I was expecting, especially the leadup feels a bit slapdash, and strangely directed with that abrupt change in music when the alarm comes on; still, the visual quality is there as always, though I do wonder until we see something like this in executable form :)

• This could've been (or might be) a contender for my favorite mfx demo ever (and underscores that a pinch of Wayfinder seems to be the key) but there's just such a failure in direction here - the camera moves way too fast at the start when nothing is happening, which gives this confusing upbeat air that juxtaposes with no action in the frame - same with the straight 4/4 cuts on the barline - which then ultimately takes the air out of the climatic moment because there's no headroom left for the cinematography to go more intense. :( Really goes to show how much these things matter.
