- Nice stuff. Keep it up Juergen... And release your stuff under the Padua label next time, since the CAP website doesn't even a thing about the scene (yet).

- demo Commodore 64 Insomnia by 64ever
- Love this one!
Here's my post from CSDB:
Finally this demo has been released - especially after following the production a little (due to Vip being a Padua member as well), I could not wait to see the final result.
I simply love it. Great style and design, the mood is almost carried consistently throughout the demo. The transitions and the timing (music & effects) are great.
Also the introductory story line is quite nice - unfortunately it seems to end after the beginning of the story (the girl is sucked into the computer) - we seem to be stuck inside the computer together with her. I was sort of expecting some type of continuation or ending for the story ;-)
Great work, Vip and Raven are showing how to blend code, music and graphic to a unique design. It would be great to be able to creat moods and introduce more storystelling within future Padua demos as well. - rulezadded on the 2002-12-04 21:00:24

- Not sure who Stefan is, but David (HCL) does rock, indeed.
I am starting to like the old tradition of record breaking - after all these years :) - rulezadded on the 2002-08-23 02:41:34

- Hollowman: Yeah, I guess we are pretty oldskool to some extend - at least some of our productions, thanks for the ok, though.
JB: Actually we had some additional discussions via email where Puterman was so kind to emphazise his points, about what he disliked - and it's ok that he did, and I agree on one thing that most demos lack today (especially on the c64):
Continuity, one theme and better coordination with the music. (One would call it a "roter Faden" in German.)
And I guess after 13 years of Padua on the c64 we should have finally learned, but unfortunately it always takes us about 3-5 years to finally realize and release an idea ;-) - isokadded on the 2002-08-12 03:33:39

- The idea is a good one - TMR succeeded where we failed with our We Are Family project - lets hope he keeps it going...
Some nice parts in here... - rulezadded on the 2002-08-12 03:23:20
- demo Commodore 64 digital magic by Crest
- Now this is a typical Crest production... A new invention and some nice design and music ;-)
I like the digi bits in here a lot, some more original art would have helped for me to like it even better, but it's a cool design production.
Remember: Not all demos have to have fast switching effects in bad resolution.
Watch this on the real thing, the graphic looses a lot in the emulation (and so does music).
Looking forward to more future Crest productions. - rulezadded on the 2002-08-09 14:22:14

- Puterman:
Too bad if you can't relate to our humor... However you might be right about the 'retro' part, if such a thing exists at all, since the ideas for most of this are about 3 years old ;-)
It's true that we have used similar style before, but to me the animation part with the newsspeakers as well as the hypnosis part are truly original and even after seeing this so often, I am still pretty amazed by Vip's graphic.
It's however a pity that you consider all our demos boring, especially the code. I am wondering what type of code you consider 'entertaining'?
A bit more constructive criticism would be appreciated.
Thanks,

- demo Commodore 64 My Kondom by Haujobb & Dekadence [web]
- Hmmm... I personally did not like this one too much. The effects look rather similar and all all of them seem to be rather low resolution stuff.
The music I liked though.
