You are right, no orange. If you run this code in an emulator, you will see rapidly changing colors, 50 times a second. Red, then yellow, then red and yellow again, very fast flickering. So you eye will average these colors into orange and other colors not existing in the standard ZX palette. Sadly modern monitors operate at 60Hz and can not show original 50Hz flickering, some frames skipped, some gets doubled, and flickering becomes not so smooth, it becomes unpleasant. So!
