• This probably isn't my favourite TBL demo. I really miss earlier multilayered text-heavy designs. However, the ripped/recreated/whatever-you-like scenes, i.e. the credits, the subway greets, as well as the amazing statue and the flower in a wasteland matched to a silhouette photo, they all pack so much gravity, that it would be insane to give it anything below thumbs up. Seeing scenes of this quality on the 1990s computer is unbelievable.

• FAO gloom: "IMHO: "ripping" is a pretty harsh term being thrown around here. Clearly some parts were heavily inspired by existing works, and those inspirations turned into recreations, but recreating and reinterpreting something isn't the same as ripping, especially not in the demoscene sense." Just saying.

• Some of the transitions in this demo are still unmatched on Spectrum and, for that matter, on pretty much any other 8-bit platform. This is a rare case where raw c0depron is perfectly matched by the equally ambitious design. The scenes that do not fit the overall storyline did not age well, but that girl's face turning out to be a computer screen is likely to be the most unexpected and non-trivial transition on Spectrum ever.
