- Fixing the mentioned shader error (another example of the sloppy nvidia compiler) makes it run on ati, except 2 white parts (think it was 2nd and 2nd last).

- Replacing 'const float' with just 'float' (const should be really constant, not per vertex) in 2nd vertex shader makes it run fine here on 4850. Ohh, and please remove that call to glClearColor before setting up the context, it annoys my shaderreplacer ;)

- It's running pretty bad (unstable framerate) here (hd4850) and quite slow with many spheres in high res or on the 8600gt. Would probably have been much faster with a little gpu raytracer :)
And I don't really like all that popping.. - isokadded on the 2009-07-13 00:13:45

- Maybe I'm just spoiled, but too tired of those basic sine forms, especially in grey. It's also running a tad slow. Btw the dual landscape looks different on radeons. I tried a faster version of the shader (the original raymarching is quite strange), but then it didn't render correctly on nvidia ;)

- tigrou: "distance fields" may be a better keyword, but iq did a good presentation about that kind of stuff at nvscene: http://www.iquilezles.org/www/material/nvscene2008/rwwtt.pdf
And don't take "distance" too seriously, you just need a decent lower bound. To speed things up you can also take the direction into (some) account or use bounding volumes (not used here though). - isokadded on the 2009-04-18 18:09:16

- Final version up. Some improved cameras, changed endpart, fixed music filtering and more resolutions.
capped.tv,youtube, 60fps h264 video, live recording (I don't think our host will like those as main video links yet, the binary got 1300 dl's already..) - isokadded on the 2009-04-16 23:46:47

- damn.. Just saw the included 4:3 versions look very wrong (the early 640x480 build worked fine), so they have been removed from the archive for today...

- We made a small update to the archieve with a couple of resolutions and without turning off the echo filter like in the compo version ;) Will do some minor improvements when I get back.
It's all raymarching with (lower bound) distance functions (and almost without downscaling)
parapete: No need to do it screenspace (with all it's artifacts and space requirements), when you have the distance functions (just 2 additional samples per pixel) - isokadded on the 2009-04-12 22:29:31
