- demo Windows MacOSX PPC The Automatic Dream (with Music) by Spöntz [web]
- Good stuff, I liked the music, and there were some really nice scenes. Really reminded me of planet risk in a few parts, which isn't a bad thing.
The spontz demos really need a config dialogue though, i'm getting sick of editing the config file by hand ;) Also, better widescreen support would be very nice. Oh, and a sync to refresh switch, to avoid tearing. (end of shopping list...)
Settings I used to get it running nicely in widescreen (in graphics.spo in the data folder):
gl_panoramic 1 (0 gets rid of the borders but you lose the sides..)
gl_width/height (set to a widescreen resolution, it ran nice at 1280x854 on my powerbook)
gl_rttwidth 1024 (improves quality if you have a fast 3d card)
Oh, how do i turn on AA? - rulezadded on the 2005-07-26 15:05:51

- amazingly long load time, but amazing stuff once it loads. Music is good i think, but the synth definately needs work.
Oh, same card as smash here (quadro fx 1000) and it works fine. - rulezadded on the 2005-07-26 10:46:43

- Nice, really good flow all the way through, good design, and some really nice effects. Credits part was great, so was the edge detection. Keep 'em coming!

- Lovely.. really nice flow, great tune, and the visuals match it really well. Only thing i didn't like much was the very first object (the cube within cube within cube thing, seen that too many times before, and the rest of the stuff was a lot better).
Overall though, great show! I'll watch this one again. - rulezadded on the 2005-07-25 13:35:13

- smash: sick? come on, compared to the planned game?! This is mild nausea ;) Lame, tho.

- original, but not so interesting. Last year's was better.

- Final is much better... smoother, and hangs together better too it seems. I think the bit where it goes a bit techno in the middle feels out of place though, it doesn't fit the mood of the rest.

- its got a nice feel to it, but once you take out the ripped font and tune, theres not much there at all. Certainly it lacks any oldschool amiga greatness, there's no elite coding, no artwork at all, only a couple of simple effects that wouldn't trouble a stock a500 much. Sorry, thumb down from me this time. Try a little harder next time!
