- I watched it again after your comment. And well... this is the first demo in ages that gives me a proper kind of a synesthetic feeling of sound linked with visual. I don't really care the technical aspects, or even have the ability to judge any more what is technically good or not. It just takes me to worlds and places and I get butterflies in my stomach. A lot of what it does is kind of unexpected, the different scenes are connected in a way that somehow makes sense for me, especially in the end. That's what demos are about for me. Or were, once.
It gave me the feeling like I had when I was a kid when I saw cool things for the first time, or that I still get sometimes when I discover a truly great band, or read a particularly stunning poem, or stand on the beach looking towards the distant ocean.
I haven't written many lines of code as a hobby for over a year or so, but this made me want to do it again. And oh yeah, the thumb. - rulezadded on the 2015-03-23 15:17:43
- demo Windows MacOSX Intel shirotokusai
- Weird. At times it had the feeling of an old computer graphics video, and some obviously cool parts (like the flat stuff projected on the cubes) combined with ugly things (the yellow thing behind the things). What a great debut.
