- nope, it's mostly because the g80 is very different from previous nv parts, guess it took them quite some time to figure out how to actually use the hw efficiently... in any case, it involves a rewrite of a lot their code, so it's pretty bug-prone.

- demo Windows Nematomorpha by mfx [web]
- yep, nice.
too lazy to look up who it was, but i second the guy who said this looks completely analog. great :) - rulezadded on the 2007-11-12 21:50:02

- gf8 series drivers are still kinda dodgy (pretty bad considering those cards have been around for quite some time now). from what i've seen on pouet, there are problems with a lot of demos, not just our ones...

- demo Windows route 1066 by ukscene allstars [web]
- wow, what can i say... great. completely missed this for some reason.
i know, ukscene allstars isn't flt+cncd, but still, compare this with halfsome/media error - what a difference! (it's fairer than most demo comparisons because the set pieces are basically the same here :). it not only has none of that overly self-conscious "we are sooo hip" vibe (big improvement in my eyes), it also adds in the flow that's been so conspicuously absent in those two demos - this time, even the arrows are (literally! :)) going somewhere.
soundtrack seems to be somewhat controversial, but i thought it was great. oh, and for an added bonus, hooray for a reasonable loading time! - rulezadded on the 2007-11-05 05:33:58
- demo Windows Sandbox Punks by Cocoon [web]
- take this thumb as token of my appreciation!
extra props for doing something that's this different from your last few demos. mind, i don't have anything against them, but it's always great to be truly surprised by a demo. - rulezadded on the 2007-11-05 05:04:03

- 64k Windows Malewitsch by Still [web]
- hmmm. didn't really get where this is going, it's kinda confusing. lovely ambient work by dalezy, but it seems kinda disconnect from the visuals (as has been mentioned several times already). the visuals themselves are so-so - some scenes are really nice, others look either unfinished or unpolished (comes down to the same thing really) and using AA would definitely help with all those cubes. it looks like there's some annoying banding artifacts with the shading (though it could just be a side effect of the color scheme), but what the hell, that's just nitpicking really.
definitely a quality product, but i guess i'll need to rewatch it a few times before i can make up my mind completely. - isokadded on the 2007-10-15 20:20:19

- fr025 is pretty much certainly within spec. file a bug report with nvidia.

- literal translation of farbrausch to english is "color intoxication" (or colour intoxication if you're a brit). and xplsv is pronounced "explosive".
