- demo Android Routavaurio by Hedelmae [web]
- Really polished effect. Music is great, but I think it's a shame to not provide more interesting visuals for it. Works quite well, and what's there, is definitely good, so thumbs up for what's there, while wishing for more variation in future prods.

There were better releases years ago. The soundtrack is especially disappointing, sound and composition wise. Sorry.

Quote:4k? javascript? pretty cool! nice take on the tron theme - even the music doesnt suck.
Did you watch the same intro twice or two different ones? :D
I really like this little piece of entertainment. It delivers on the visuals, but as already noted a couple of times, the music isn't all that interesting. The size it has to be done in is relly impressive, though. 1k for song data and synth is quite tough :) Great job! - rulezadded on the 2013-08-10 11:36:51
- demo Windows Return by Pyrotech
- Having seen this a couple of times now, I still don't quite manage to get all that excited about it. There's definitely a ton of work behind it, and there's some pretty nice parts. I wouldn't care too much about people's "direction" comments. If a demo manage to entertain, fuck direction. But somehow this demo seem to land somewhere smack dap in the middle, between excellent entertainment and a good story/direction. With regards to the soundtrack, it does seem a bit safe or generic. I'm pretty much with jco on the quality of it, except that I find the leadguitar somewhat ruined by the lack of high frequencies. The solo is beautiful, but the lack of proper mastering is really a shame. It's as if there's a lowpass filter on top of the lead, and that's a bit of a shame. It does have some nice parts here and there, but in general, the composition seems a bit "safe" in lack of better words. Perhaps a few breaks apart from leaving the drums, only to reintroduce them in exactly the same way as before the break, could have worked wonders. All in all, I don't see any reason not to thumb this up. The fact that it was perhaps a bit overrated on the party's result-sheet shouldn't affect the ratings here. Thinking another demo probably should have won, doesn't make this demo any better or worse, and therefore, a well deserved thumb, for the shere amount of work, you must have put into this.

- 4k Windows Star Dancer by Silent & Digimind
- Gets a bit repetitive and a keen eye for colors would probably have helped bump it up to where I actually think it has potential to go. Nice work with the particles, and on the music too ;) I'll leave it with a motivational thumb.

- Wow - somehow I managed to overlook this one until now. Really a great prod with a lot of cool content. Really like the l-system stuff and the particle-sprinkling-stuff in the end! Good job!

- demo Windows Violent Nature by Andromeda Software Development [web] & Minimalartifact [web]
- I need to be honest about this one. I really think it's boring. There's no real progression, no changes in the music that is picked up and used in the visuals. There seem to happen close to nothing from the start and throughout the 3 minute "journey". It's a nice ambient track and there's definitely some cleverness going on visually, but I just don't get it. Sorry.

- demo Windows Agenda Circling Forth by Fairlight [web] & Carillon & Cyberiad [web]
- That scene with the moon gives me chills every time I see it! Fantastic work and a fantastic soundtrack. Only small gripe I have is with the processing of the vocals. Cutting them off a bit hard here, it seems. Still, an amazingly great track and as usual, the techstuff is probably insane too ;)

- There's some pretty clever rendering there for a 64k, that's for sure. Nice track too!
