- demo Windows Rowan Berries by Traction [web] & Brainstorm [web]
- My problem with this is that it puts the bar way too high: ambient minimal is a strictly hit-and-miss. (Especially at a large party, but that's not really the point.)
Some of the stuff in there is great, but it falls a bit flat on its face because the text is disconnected from the effect and they're happening at the same time so you have to split your attention and on the first viewing, you're gonna miss out on one either way.
I've been playing Antichamber recently, and it has a very similar aesthetic to this, but it's different in that there was great care ensured by the creators to keep the player focusing on the "right" things even though the game is meant to be confusing and paradoxical. I feel the same approach would've helped here, perhaps alternating the text and the effects so that they feel like a logical sequence to each other. - rulezadded on the 2013-04-06 14:16:30

- Adorable idea, but I just can't imagine 7 minutes being enough considering the queue that (i assume) has formed immediately :D

- The platform itself is weird but in this case it actually takes away from the enjoyment of the demo.

- wild Animation/Video The Satellite Year - A Campus, A Heart, A Star by Antizeit [web]
- I liked the music for what it was (pop/rock) and the visual was massive - but then, it was a really good compo this year.
