Hi ReeBok, welcome back! I'm sure you haven't met the TBL and Farbrausch people yet =)
Your comment reeks of the same windows-hate as half a decade before, and it's seriously lame to hide the lack of programmer's skill with the aforementionted.
You could've done this in less that 40k if you put yourself to the test.
Try again some time, and come back later, with a non-commerical one if you'd please. - isokadded on the 2002-02-12 04:55:45

- Nice, not exciting though. It seems to follow the (preferrably raytraced) intro rule of putting shoddy poems in there to distract you.

- demo MS-Dos/gus stuff by xtacy
- lator, as long as the edit function isn't availible, I can't correct real to realTIME, okay? =)
Animated? Oh well, at least it wasn't a static object or a set of shadebobs being sold off either. - isokadded on the 2002-02-06 18:20:03

- demo MS-Dos Windows the fulcrum by Matrix
- Fucking brilliant in every way. I'd say the undisputed king of 3d scene players in DOS.
Correct me if I'm wrong though, but it seems like they use two different engines, or the same with functionality stripped for each part: the first and third part show off some nice rays and shadows, but the scenes are suspiciously low-poly. In the second part, the textures have a "bilinear filter" feel, bumpmapping, extremely overdone (unreal) lighting, but no shadows or rays whatsoever. Scene look smoothly modeled as well.
Almost feels like they wrote separate engines for each two sections of the demo, exploiting the best of either scene. What's the deal with that?
